8 - obeying the king is usually safe and right. The wicked often prosper fora time, but not forever. God gives joy regardless of this of our doing all we set out to do.
9 - Death comes alike to all, so enjoy wine, wife and work. Unnoticed wisdom is better than flaunted strength.
10 - A little folly ruins a great deal, but wisdom is a sharp instrument.
11 - You don't know what's coming, so be generous and diligent.
12 - Remember God in youth, before you deteriorate in body and mind. Wisdom is from the Shepherd: Fear and obey God.
